Holiday attractions in Philly abound, so grab your earmuffs and hit the town to experience the holiday season in the City of Brotherly Love. From the Macy’s Christmas Light Show and ice skating at Dilworth Park to the Christmas Village at LOVE Park there is something for everyone to get into the Holiday spirit!
The Macy’s Christmas Light Show at Macy’s Center City (1300 Market Street) is an annual light display that continues to wow audiences year after year and is one of the signature holiday attractions in Philly. The Christmas Light Show and Wanamaker Organ Concerts start on November 28 and run until December 31. The light show features more than 100,000 bright LED lights that flicker to holiday tunes
Rothman Ice Rink at Dilworth Park – this recently opened rink is one of the more popular rinks in Philly. For adults entry to the rink is $4 and for children 10 and younger its $3, skate rental is $8. Shaky on your skating? Don’t worry! The rink offers a four-week Learn-to-Skate program each Sunday morning at 9:30 a.m. and 10:15 a.m. The cost is $60 per session.
Hoping to have the rink all to yourself? The rink offers group rates as well. Rosa Blanca café is located right next to the rink and serves a wide variety of yummy sandwiches, teas and hot chocolate so you can replenish post-skate.
Christmas Village at LOVE Park (JFK Plaza) runs from November 27 until December 28.
This annual village is inspired by the outdoor Christmas markets of the world and you’ll really be in the holiday spirit after browsing the outdoor stalls of more than 60 local vendors. Munch on delicious warm waffles and sip hot chocolate as you browse for gifts for your friends and loved ones.
