This Holiday Season enjoy a Longwood Garden Christmas. It’s the perfect tradition for the holidays whether you live in the Philadelphia area or are in town looking for unique holiday events.
Longwood Gardens spans nearly 1,077 acres and has over 20 different gardens and over 5,500 kinds of plants in total! From November 27 until January 11 enjoy the Christmas cheer at Longwood Gardens. Festivities include a Peacock Masquerade Ball which includes an 18 foot rotating holiday tree. The foliage is decorated with snowflakes and millions of tiny light illuminate the various types of flora and fauna on display.
There will be a host of Holiday performances at this year’s Longwood Garden Christmas. Enjoy organ sing-alongs daily from November 28 until January 2. And, don’t miss performances by local choirs and musicians on select days throughout December at 7:00 & 8:00 p.m. Longwood Gardens even has a New Year’s Eve celebration!
On Wednesday December 13 head to Long Wood Gardens for several New Year’s Eve performances including Rob Dickenson and The Brandywine Christmas Minstrels, the PartiGras Band, Nothing But Treble singles and Frank the Dog Barbershop Quarter. The Fountain shows are set to holiday classics and take place on the hour from 10 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. and every from minutes from 3:30 p.m. until 10:00 p.m.
You can also dine at Longwood Gardens! Breakfast with Santa is a fun annual tradition for the entire family. Enjoy a delicious breakfast buffet and for the kids an opportunity to have a photo-op with Santa.
At Longwood Gardens, there is so much to do in addition to simply observing the gorgeous surroundings; enjoy nature workshops in addition to daily tours. Longwood Garden also offers kid-friendly activities the entire family will enjoy including the Garden Railway ( now in its 14th year, this G-scale model train is not to be missed).
