All-Stravinsky Program World Premiere at PA Ballet

April 4

Empty theater

The Pennsylvania Ballet will honor the music of the iconic Russian composer Igor Stravinsky for one night this spring. They will perform four different works set to his music, and the scores chosen were written in both the 20th and 21st centuries. The first will be George Balanchine’s Apollo, which tells the story of the young Greek God. There will also be Balanchine’s Stravinsky Violin Concerto, and the premiere of Jerome Robbins’ The Cage. This last one looks at a group of female creatures in what promises to be a creative show.
