The Made in America Tour (personally curated by Jay-Z) draws top acts in hip hop, rock and electro as well as eager die-hard fans. This year headline acts include Kanye West, Kings of Leon., Tiësto, Steve Aoki, Pharrel Williams, R3hab and Chromeo. Jay-Z started the Made in America tour with the hope of unifying the country through music. This is one of the key reasons why the inaugural festival took place in Philadelphia, given the prominent role that the city plays in early U.S. history . The festival now in its 3rd will be held on August 30-31.
New this year, the Made in America Festival is going bi-coastal with festivals in Philadelphia AND L.A. Last year’s lineup included Beyoncé, Nine Inch Nails, Public Enemy, Emilee Sandé, Solange and more. We’re looking forward to the wide-release of Ron Howard’s documentary Made in America, which highlights the tour’s first run in 2012 including an in-depth look into Jay-Z’s hands-on role in curating the festival.
