Head to the Merriam Theater this fall t to see the band Kansas perform their six-time multi-Platinum album Leftoverture. This will be the first time that the album will be performed in its entirety, and the two-hour, special 40th Anniversary concert will also feature new songs from their upcoming album, The Prelude Implicit. Classic hits like “Fight Fire With Fire,” “Point of No Return,” and “Dust in the Wind” will be performed, as well as many other successful and well-known ballads.
Kansas rose to prominence in the 1970s with rock albums and chart-topping hits. “Dust in the Wind” and “Carry on Wayward Son” were some of the defining tracks that launched the band into the spotlight, and from there they produced eight gold albums, three six-time platinum albums, and more. They appeared on the Billboard charts for over 200 weeks throughout the 1970s and 1980s, and consistently sold out concerts across the globe.
