Oh Sees will grace the Trocadero in Philadelphia for a concert featuring pop-folk music. An American garage ban formed in San Francisco in 1997, Oh Sees blends rock genres like 1960s garage rock and psychedelic rock, punk, art punk, noise rock, and 1980s post-punk. John Dwyer, an active member of the San Francisco indie scene, heads the group with vocals and guitar. In 2015 after a hiatus, Dwyer returned to the band and began touring. The band’s new album, Orc, will be released on August 25th.
The Trocadero Theater is a historic theater in Center City that has serves as an opera house, an art house cinema, a fine arts theatre, a dance club, and a concert hall. It has offered everything from musical comedies to burlesque since opening in 1870, and in the 1990s was an iconic venue for rock and punk concerts. The Troc hosts large and small acts and is a mainstay for live music in Philadelphia.
