This June marks the 30th anniversary of our Philly Pride Weekend, making it a landmark celebration. The city’s first Pride Parade was a spontaneous take-to-the-streets celebration and protest that sparked in our famous Gayborhood in 1988, and now we’ve grown to one of the largest and most reputable Pride parades in the world. A kick-off party will get the festivities going on Friday night, with parties and cultural events throughout town all weekend. The Parade will take place on Sunday, and begin in Gayborhood at 13th and Locust streets, and then have a 1.5-mile route to Penn’s Landing, where a post-parade festival will take place.
