The Kooks are a British pop-rock band with an alternative, indie-rock sound. Formed in Brighton in 2004, the group immediately achieved mainstream success and signed to the Virgin Records label in 2005. Since then The Kooks have produced Top 10 singles and No. 1 hit albums, and garnered nods from the MTV Europe Music Awards and BRIT Awards. The band’s style is influenced by classic rock stalwarts like The Police, The Strokes, and The Rolling Stones. Friends Luke Pritchard, Hugh Harris, Max Rafferty, and Paul Garred formed the group while at Brighton Music College.
Be sure to catch The Kooks when their tour brings them to the Electric Factory in Philadelphia this fall.
