IS THERE AN AIRPORT NEARBY?

The Philadelphia International Airport is located just 11 miles from our hotel. The trip takes about 25 minutes.

DO YOU PROVIDE SHUTTLES TO THE AIRPORT?

No, but we’re happy to hire cab and limo service. You can also use Philadelphia public transportation to reach downtown Philadelphia from the airport.

WHAT’S THE BEST WAY TO GET AROUND THE CITY?

Philadelphia is a walking city, and there is so much to see and do within easy walking distance from our hotel. The Independent is also across the street from an Indego bike station. If your destination is farther than your feet can take you, we recommend using public transportation or a rideshare service.

IS THERE HOUSEKEEPING SERVICE?

Yes, we offer housekeeping service daily. View all of our services and amenities.

WHAT TYPE OF IN-ROOM TECHNOLOGY CAN I EXPECT?

I LOVE SOME OF THE ITEMS IN MY ROOM, CAN I PURCHASE THEM AND TAKE HOME WITH ME?

We’re so glad to hear that! Our local artwork may be purchased. If you decide to take any of your in-room decor home with you, your folio will be charged accordingly. When in doubt, ask the front desk.

WHAT ARE THE NORMAL CHECK-IN AND CHECK-OUT TIMES?

Check-in begins at 3pm, and guests must check out by 11am.

HOW LATE CAN WE CHECK IN?

DO YOU HAVE A GYM? IF SO, WHAT TYPE OF EQUIPMENT CAN I EXPECT?

Guests of The Independent Hotel will receive complimentary access to local gym Optimal Sport Health Club, located just 2 blocks from the hotel.

WHERE CAN I SECURELY STORE MY VALUABLES?

The Independent Hotel’s front desk has three lockboxes available for guest use.

CAN I SEND A PACKAGE TO THE HOTEL?

ARE THERE SMOKING ROOMS? AND CAN I SMOKE IN PUBLIC SPACES?

No. The Independent is an entirely smoke-free property.

CAN I BRING MY PET TO THE HOTEL?

IS PARKING AVAILABLE AT THE HOTEL? HOW MUCH WILL IT COST?

The Independent Hotel offers parking options through a nearby garage for $25 for each 24-hour period. LAZ Garage is located down the street from the hotel at 1327 Locust Street. LAZ Garage has no in-and-out privileges. Guests must pay each time they take their car out of the lot. Please note that these garages operate independently from our hotel.

CAN A THIRD PARTY PAY FOR MY RESERVATION?

Yes. Credit card authorization will be required.

WILL MY CREDIT CARD BE CHARGED WHEN I MAKE MY RESERVATION?

Credit card charges will vary depending on rate. Please check the Terms & Conditions of the offer you are booking. Some reservations require a deposit and will be charged at the time or reservation, while others will store credit card information until check-in.

WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY?

We have a basic 48-hour cancellation policy. Some packages may be non-refundable.

ARE THERE RESTAURANTS NEARBY?

DO YOU HAVE ROOM SERVICE?

We do not offer room service, however, in the mornings, a complimentary continental breakfast basket will be delivered to your room.

IS BREAKFAST INCLUDED?

Yes. The Independent is truly a home away from home. In the mornings, awaken to a complimentary continental breakfast basket delivered to your room. Let us know your preferred delivery time and we will have your chosen breakfast awaiting at your door in the morning.

IS MY ID/PASSPORT REQUIRED AT CHECK-IN?

Yes. An ID or passport and credit card are required at check-in.

DO KIDS STAY FREE?

Yes. Children under the age of 12 stay free.

DOES YOUR HOTEL OFFER CURRENCY EXCHANGE?

No, it does not. There are multiple currency exchange offices and banks in Philadelphia that can, though. Please contact the hotel directly for more information.

ARE THERE MINIBARS IN THE ROOMS?

Apart from our snackboxes that are available in every room, we do not offer alcoholic minibars in guest rooms. We do offer a guest wine reception nightly, Monday through Thursdays from 5 to 6pm.

ARE EXTRA BEDS OR ROLLAWAY BEDS AVAILABLE?

Yes, The Independent can provide extra beds for no cost. Please contact the hotel directly to arrange.

IS THERE A LIMIT TO HOW LONG I CAN STAY?

No, you’re welcome to stay as long as you wish!
